Areas of Focus
-
Detoxification, withdrawal management, and relapse prevention for various substances including alcohol, opioids, benzodiazepines, methamphetamine, cocaine, and novel psychoactive substances.
Treatment can also be provided for non-substance-related addictive disorders such as gambling disorder and gaming addiction.
-
Management of generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety disorder, panic disorder, and OCD. These disorders are commonly treated with pharmacotherapy and regular sessions of cognitive-behavioral therapy. Exposure and response prevention therapy may be indicated for OCD.
-
Mood disorders frequently co-occur with substance use disorders and can be simultaneously treated with medication management and psychotherapy. Neuromodulation treatment is not provided at this time.
-
ADHD affects both children and adults and can be debilitating if left untreated. While prescription stimulants can be effective for ADHD, their use in the treatment of co-occurring ADHD and substance use disorders is more nuanced and a comprehensive evaluation is necessary to ensure the safe use of prescription stimulants.
Treatment
Initial Phone Consultation
15 minutes - free
Prior to scheduling a diagnostic evaluation, we will schedule a brief interview to review your reasons for seeking treatment and your treatment goals in order for us to determine whether treatment with me would be worthwhile. If I do not feel confident that I can help you achieve your goals, I will refer you to one of my colleagues in the Bay Area.
Diagnostic Evaluation
60-90 minutes - $700
A comprehensive diagnostic evaluation includes a review of current symptoms, treatment history, medical history, and social history. By the end of the diagnostic assessment, we will review diagnoses and a detailed treatment plan including potential diagnostic workup, pharmacotherapy, and psychotherapy.
Follow-up appointments
30-45 minutes - $350-525
Follow-up appointments can vary in frequency, from weekly to monthly, depending on the severity of your symptoms or the intensity of the treatment plan. Routine follow-up appointments for medication management and psychotherapy are necessary to ensure progress is being continually made toward your goals.
