About Dr. Leung
I am a University of Michigan and UCSF-trained addiction psychiatrist. I am board-certified in both general psychiatry and addiction psychiatry and have expertise in outpatient and hospital-based addiction psychiatry.
I am an assistant clinical professor at the UCSF Department of Psychiatry. As part of my UCSF faculty role, I supervise trainees and lecture on various addiction topics. I serve on the Education Committee of the California Society of Addiction Medicine and am also a member of the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry.
I believe in a holistic and patient-centered approach to addiction treatment. I understand that addiction is a chronic, severe, and often debilitating disease. Effective treatment requires a deep understanding of the biological, psychological, and social factors as they pertain to treatment. I maintain a small private practice primarily delivering telehealth treatment to clients in the San Francisco Bay Area and am available for face-to-face appointments in downtown San Francisco.
